Although shower door and enclosure sizes are related to tray sizes it is important to note that most shower trays are tiled down to the rim, often over an upstand. The finished installation space may be less than the nominal tray size. Merlyn shower units are made to suit this remaining space.

TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS AFTER THE TRAY IS INSTALLED AND THE WALLS ARE TILED.

Please note that when a tray is fitted it is essential that the tray is level before any doors or enclosures are fitted.

Tray upstands: ensure strong and secure joints between shower tray and walls, even in the event of floor settlement. Tiling must be finished over the recessed upstand as shown in the diagram below.
